Desktop to Cloud Day 2013

I have mentioned the regular Desktop to Cloud group that meets monthly in North Sydney but what you might not realize is that there is also Desktop to Cloud Day scheduled for Saturday the 18th of May 2013.

 

This day will contains 12 sessions in 2 tracks (Consumer and IT Professional) conducted at North Ryde RSL Club in Sydney. Entry entitles you to attend all the sessions, refreshments, parking and free WiFi. You can register for the event at:

Desktop to Cloud June meeting

Last night was the first night of the monthly Desktop to Cloud User Group and I think it was a resounding success. Why? Because we had about 20 people in attendance, which isn’t bad for a first meeting.

As you can see from the above shots the venue at the Stanton Library was excellent with plenty of room and great facilities.

The meeting covered off some basic introductions of everyone in attendance and then some discussions about the direction of the group.

We also had some good discussion around some cloud solution to common issues such as password management and workflow. You’ll find a copy of the slides from the event here.

Following on from the very successful Desktop to Cloud event recently in North Ryde, I am happy to announce the commencement of the Desktop to Cloud User Group that will meet once a month in North Sydney.

 

The idea is to have a regular forum where we can continue our discussions and discoveries around the latest in desktop and cloud technologies. The group is open to anyone, whether you are an end user, and IT Professional or a business owner looking for more information about the direction of technology. In the meetings you’ll hear from many experts and you’ll also get the opportunity to network with them.
